Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Planako, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service.
Description of Service
Planako is a shift scheduling and workforce management platform that helps employers and employees manage work schedules, communicate, and handle related tasks. The service is provided via mobile applications and web interface.
Subscriptions, Free Trial, and Billing
Planako is offered as a paid subscription service with a free trial. Payments are processed by the payment provider appropriate to your platform, and the terms below apply in addition to the terms of that provider:
- Web (planako.com): subscriptions are sold and billed by Stripe.
- iOS: subscriptions are sold and billed by Apple via the App Store. Apple's standard subscription rules also apply.
- Android: subscriptions are sold and billed by Google via Google Play. Google's standard subscription rules also apply.
- Free trial: new accounts receive a 30-day free trial. A valid payment method is required to start the trial. You will not be charged during the trial period.
- Recurring billing: at the end of the trial, your subscription will automatically renew at the then-current price (currently ¥3,300 per month, tax-inclusive) and will continue to renew each month until cancelled.
- Cancellation: you may cancel at any time. Cancellation stops future renewals; access to paid features remains available until the end of the current billing period. Cancellation must be performed in the same place where the subscription was purchased: the Stripe customer portal for web, the Subscriptions screen in iOS Settings for iOS, or Google Play Subscriptions for Android.
- Refunds: subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable law or by the policies of the platform that processed your payment (Stripe, Apple, or Google).
- Price changes: we may change subscription prices with at least 30 days' prior notice via email or in-app notice. Continued use after a price change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new price. If you do not agree, you may cancel before the change takes effect.
- Statutory rights: nothing in this section limits any rights you have under applicable consumer protection law in Japan or in your country of residence.
User Accounts
To use Planako, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information during registration
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose
- Harass, abuse, or harm other users
- Interfere with or disrupt the service or servers
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the service
Chat Service
When using the in-app chat feature, you agree to:
- Use chat for work-related communication only
- Not send harassing, abusive, or inappropriate messages
- Not use chat for spam, advertising, or solicitation
- Not share confidential or sensitive information such as passwords, credit card numbers, or other financial details through the chat
- Comply with your employer's communication policies
Clock-in Service
When using the clock-in functionality, you agree to:
- Record clock-in and clock-out times accurately and honestly
- Only clock in/out for yourself, not for other employees
- Only use authorized NFC tags or clock-in methods provided by your employer
- Comply with your employer's time-tracking policies
Personal Schedule
Planako provides a personal schedule feature for employees that allows you to record personal events alongside your work shifts. By using this feature, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
- Personal events are stored locally on your device only and are not saved to Planako's servers
- Planako does not back up, sync, or recover personal event data
- Personal events may be permanently lost if you uninstall the app, clear app data, switch devices, or if device storage is otherwise erased
- Planako is not responsible for any loss of personal event data under any circumstances
Intellectual Property
The Planako service, including its original content, features, and functionality, is owned by Planako Inc. and is protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Planako Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the service.
Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the service at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes by posting on our service. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
